Paint Shortage

I had a meeting with some people from Chrysler today. In the small talk before we got started, They where talking about the paint shortage due to the EQ in Japan.. This will effect ALL THE DARK COLORS they said.
(Brilliant Black, Blackberry, Natural Green, Inferno Red, Dark Charcoal)
Just a heads up with those of you that have orders in.

Dark Charcoal is currently not on the restricted list, just the following colors:

Blackberry, Brilliant Black, Bronze Star, Inferno Red and Rugged Brown

Just curious what the net effect of the restricted list is. Does this mean each dealer only gets a certain number of that color?

How will this affect my Brilliant Black Overland that just went D1 on 3/28?

Thanks for confirming Milous.. I just assumed that Dark Charcoal was one of them on the list. Sorry

Re: Paint Shortage

^^^ It just went on restriction which probably is for NEW orders, not ones released to D1 status since they can't go D1 if they aren't ready to proceed on the line. 99% it's not a worry for you.

Re: Paint Shortage

I thought they had a good supply of whatever they produced in Japan. I believe I read somewhere it would not affect orders for a while.

Being that I thought last Spring I would have this car in August, I can't take any most delays or restrictions.
