But to the OP, I am glad you are taking the attitude you are. I would do the same. Its a mistake that can easily be made at a factory. People are human. Simple order of the part at the dealer and then replace.

I hope this means there is a chance Jeep accidentally puts carbon fiber and silver trim in a black interior Overland and I stumble upon it.

Re: Pay close attention on that walkthrough!!

LOL, so now after presenting a very level headed and factual rationale backing up my position...remaining calm and professional despite being referred to in a derogatory manner more than once...discussing my issues...all the while maintaining that I love my Jeep overall despite my issues...having been a member here for 3 years...a member that has chosen to pay the optional fee I might add...I'm a troll?

I think you guys need to look up the definition of troll LOL. Someone isn't a troll just because you disagree with them.

You guys are a hoot.

So...has your truck really been in 27x or for 27 items? What were each item?....cause that seems almost sensational and that's just an opinion....no fanboyism. Why did you not lemon the vehicle? That's like 2 times + per month for 2 years.
I'm with Scott on this. By the way, SW03ES has a 2011, not a 2014. If you have had to go to the dealer 27 times and have had 27 problems, that honestly sucks. You should have lemon-lawed the Jeep.

For the new members reading this, I think it is important to note that SW03ES has had a worse than average experience.

Actually SW03ES has a 2011.

I have readily said many times that most people don't have these issues, BUT there are a lot of people here who do have issues...some far far worse than mine (my issues are nuisance issues, there are just a bunch of them), there are several members here who have had their vehicles leave them stranded, etc. Whenever those of us with issues post...we are made basically to feel that we're either lying, trolls, or that we're being unreasonable in our expectations. I've had people tell me that I must somehow be mistreating my Jeep, fording rivers, whatever and nobody cares for vehicles as well as I do.

As someone who was originally overjoyed with his Jeep I can promise you that if you start having problems, you will have a different outlook very quickly.

As for the lemon law. You don't just choose to "lemon law" it. There are guidelines...

In MD:

Quote:
Is it a Lemon?

Maryland's lemon law applies only to cars, light trucks and motorcycles that:

1. Are registered in Maryland, and

2. Have been driven less than 18,000 miles and been owned less than 24 months.
(Even if you are not the original owner, the Lemon Law might apply to your vehicle if the original owner purchased it less than 18 months ago.)

The law provides that a dealer or manufacturer must correct a defect within 30 days after the consumer writes to the manufacturer by certified mail. If the manufacturer or dealer is unable to do so, the consumer is entitled to a refund or replacement vehicle under the Lemon Law if the car has:

A brake or steering failure that was not corrected after the first repair attempt, and that causes the vehicle to fail Maryland's safety inspection; or
Any one problem that substantially impairs the use and market value of the vehicle that was not corrected in four repair attempts; or
Any number of problems that substantially impair the use and market value of the vehicle that have caused it to be out of service for a cumulative total of 30 or more days.
If you suspect your car is a lemon -- for example, if the dealer has tried once or twice unsuccessfully to repair the problem and you believe the problem substantially impairs the use and market value of the vehicle -- you should write to the manufacturer immediately. You do not need to wait until the dealer has made the four repair attempts, or until the car has been out of service for 30 days.
My situation does not qualify. All my defects have been corrected, a couple of them they had to try a couple times but the issues were solved. Right now, my Jeep is great except for the short in the foglight...its just a pain in the @ss to have to deal with these little piddly repairs all the time.

Whoops, typo.

I had my engine blow out at 3,000 miles, so I qualify as one of the people that has experienced major issues. There are also some minor issues, mostly cosmetic, that I am dealing with. I agree that it is not fun to deal with the issues, but it isn't the worst thing in the world. I also agree that there are a lot of brands that make vehicles that are more reliable and have less of these little issues. However, I personally would rather deal with a few things that are wrong than drive something else. When I say that the Jeep is a better value than vehicles from other brands (Land Rover/Range Rover, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, etc.), I am not saying that excuses the issues. However, for me at least, I would rather have a Jeep and deal with some issues than drive something else. Admittedly, I am a so-called Jeep "fanboy", but I am not blind to the problems, they just don't bother me as much as they might bother somebody else who is not a "fanboy". I was also just trying to say that the typical Jeep will not go into the shop 27 times over 2 years. I have one of the more problematic Jeeps, and I will be going in for my third visit (1st for leaking sunroof, 2nd for engine, 3rd for remaining small issues).

If your Jeep has been in the shop 27 times, hasn't it been there over 30 days? If not, that is bad luck.

Scott, this must be what you were referring to a few pages ago. I thought you were talking about initial problems, not just "problems". My apologies for incorrectly correcting you.

Wouldn't you rather have the Jeep AND not have these issues?

For me its the hassle...if Jeep would give me a loaner it wouldn't be as bad, we have to drop it off, share a car for however long its in, causes stress between us because she's even madder about these issues than I am because she didn't really want the Jeep to begin with.

Its had 27 warranty repairs, it hasn't been in the shop 27 times. Multiple things have been addressed at a time. It hasn't been in the shop for 30 days. 15 maybe. Even that is more than any other car I've ever owned and its only 2.5 years old.
