Perfect vehicle for snow...driver not so much

I'd like to see the guy running the vid walk down and try to help.

But, that's coming from a guy who pulls over on the side of the road to offer cell phone and (limited) mechanical expertise when I see a stranded motorist.

Maybe I'm wrong. I could be. Hopefully I am.

Then he wouldn't have been able to shoot the video.

Re: Perfect vehicle for snow...driver not so much

This right here is the guy giving SUV drivers a bad name. And I've been in that very situation - on a hill, with a bunch of snow. Persistent futile efforts to gun the engine to go forward as fast as possible has to be the singularly dumbest method imaginable to free yourself. The guy is just dumb, angry and the sort of person who I hope I never have to interact with in any way, shape or form. For people like that there isn't a car on the planet that will resolve their issues.

I was thinking of suggesting sending over the little kid you hear in the video to show that cretin how to drive in snow...

That snow looks sloppy wet, should be easy to get moving in as long as you aren't one of the "when in doubt, floorboard it till the tires burn off" types.

I think the guy did the right thing.
If they were to help that cretin, they could be sued for putting such an
incompetent driver back on the road.

That guy didn't look like he wanted help. Imagine how angry he would have got if you went down there and told him to back up a bit further, turn the wheel and give it less gas.

Yea that dude was pretty pissed, I'm sure the last thing he would have wanted is help. I'm just glad the two cars that made it out, 1 in front of and the 1 in back of, well, made it out before he attempted. Wold love to know what cars they were.

I wonder though, think he hit the side of his car on that snow bank?

Good news: yes.

Bad news: there was probably minimal if any damage.

An English major. And considerate too. Thanks. I'm sure an educated person like yourself has heard of a thing called auto correct. Well, it may be auto but it's not always "correct". Since you were concerned enough with the grammatical error in my post I felt like I owed you a response explaining where things went south. Hopefully that helps.
