I'll tell you what I don't do.....concern myself with other people's grammar.

You're funny. You think I care enough what you or the other jerk thinks to lie about auto correct. Maybe you're paranoid for some reason. Maybe people lie to you all the time. Whatevs.

Well I hoped to get stuck today. No such luck.

1st Deep Sand in Jeep - YouTube

Finally made it to the beach with the new Jeep. Switched on 4-wheel low and stability control off. Grinning from ear-to-ear the whole time. Finally bonded with that machine. Saw a couple of wild horses but nothing to write home about. Drove with no tire deflation. Hoped to get stuck in the sand to test the limits but she just kept going and going! )))

I've seen 4 door sedans driving on the beach at the end of corolla. The sand on other end of the island isn't as forgiving. Especially at the very end of Hatteras. It's especially deep and soft out there.

Re: Perfect vehicle for snow...driver not so much

Negative my friend. Signs posted that only say only 4x4s allowed. Cop at entrance all day. Sand deep enough away from high-tide area deep enough to stop any family sedan. Perhaps there is another area you remember but I appreciate the remark. The drive reminded me of driving my Landcruiser in Afghanistan. It was a good time but yeah I suck as a driver. Where's the snow? :0)

I take full responsibility for starting this ueber negative thread. That won't happen again. It was a little sickening to read the immature comments.

Nice video. My wife and I are vacation planning for next summer to drive up to San Fran and I want to take my family up to Pismo beach on the way up since you're allowed to take vehicles out on the sands.

Actually it's true. Blue Toyota. This was probably ten years ago or so. Haven't been to the beach entrance at the end of corolla since then probably but I'm not surprised to hear about the changes. Back then no park rangers/police officers paying attention. They still had 4wd only signs though. There are actually a lot of people trying to drive on the beach in cars. Check out "Oregon inlet idiots" if you want to see for yourself.

The person driving the.... tercel.... I believe it was....obviously doesn't have a chance if the sand isn't packed down from traffic. Not only was he driving on it, he was probably speeding! There were only a few rough parts of the beach that day and that didn't start till a mile in probably.

I've been going to the obx for probably 15 years on my own. Among other things, I've seen a Lincoln town car with two elderly people driving stuck at the top of the beach ramp at the end of Avon. The sand that day was as it always is on Hatteras Island. Soft and deep.

Anyway, yeah. A Toyota sedan.

Greetings,

The problem with any forum when you start a thread, you never know what pops up. A great majority of the members here produce excellent threads and posts. A couple months ago, the moderators had to shut down a thread which was far worse than this one. Their is so much information that is passed on and it is great learning tool. Keep the threads and posts coming.

Okay, now you got me jealous with the OBX. One of these years i have to try the sand there.

Best for now.
