Perfect vehicle for snow...driver not so much

Same vehicle as mine. The Summit. Raise the chassis, switch to 4-wheel low, drive slowing out of the snow, and gently rock if needed. Sheiss driver. Take away his license. Shaking my head.

Really appreciate the lesson the guy with the camera gave his kid about not helping someone who clearly could have used a hand. Hopefully, that was already stated in the posts listed above.

Greetings,

BTW, DC is one of my best sightseeing spots. Every time I go, their is something new to do. I was their this past 4th of July weekend for 3 days.

With my Nokian tires and sometimes in switching to the Snow Mode, I have yet to use 4 LO to get out of snowy situation.

I bet the next time we see this video in another post will be at the end of the year right before the winter here in the US. At this rate, the video should be a teaching item for rookie drivers on how not to fight with snow when mad.

Best for now.

It was. It wasn't a very popular post though. That's the direction the world is going. See someone in need and pull your camera out, watch, laugh, upload to YouTube. I'm glad the dude filming that vid isn't my neighbor/son/father/friend ect...

Re: Perfect vehicle for snow...driver not so much

I never saw anyone try to help. Including the guy running the camera.
I guess I could say I won the lottery...anyone can say anything. If dude making the vid cared he would've walked down there with a shovel and actually helped.

The kind of person that sits in a 3rd story window and giggles while running video of a guy in a bad spot that then tries to justify his inaction(only because people trashed him for not helping) to me isn't the kind of person I want to know, rely on, live next to.

A Good Samaritan he is not. And that's the indisputable bottom line. I know someone will defend him but we've got the videotape. He saw a person in need and instead of helping he laughed and videotaped it. Congrats.

Doucebag of the year goes to the guy driving the jeep, runner up is the guy who made the vid.

Re: Perfect vehicle for snow...driver not so much

You're assuming that the start of the video, is the start of the incident, rather than the indication that this had already being going on for a while (as it seems to be the case), and others had offered help, and were "cursed at profusely".

Some people are such asses that they do refuse help.
