In my experience there are only 6 family codes per year. If they gave those away already, then that is it.

I don't think they changed the interior at all, I think it's just lighting too be honest.

I'm aware of that. Very well aware of that. Been aware of that for years. Even if they gave away the 6 family codes, there's still 6 MORE friends codes!

Thing is, who gives away 6 codes by... MARCH? I could see if it was December, I've seen it done before, but geez, MARCH?!

Okay that is inexcusable. What was the fix? I did just check this out today and noticed that maybe, just maybe the carpet is too "short" right there and should be taller. What is your build date and time?

It'll be on your VIN sticker in the door jamb, next to "MDH"... (Month/Date/Hour)

Like I said, I had no idea how many they were given, but I wasn't going to call out my in law lol. He eventually said he had one. I knew he was lying probably because he was lazy or busy

Hi Marlon,

MDH: 090422 038AA Build Sheet says 09/04/13 22:12:36

Unfortunately, the fix is to replace the entire carpet (according to my dealer), which I'm not too fond of. Since the flaw is hidden with the driver's seat in its normal position, I'm not worried about it. Thank you for building an almost perfect vehicle!

Re: Picking up a brand new 14, need opinions!

Just got the car today, had 160 miles on it, however, it had to be driven up from their other dealership that was 140 miles away. Checked the build date, said on the door it was built 2/14. Also, threw my old WK2 slush mats in, even though the passenger has two hooks in it.

Had an issue when I got home, whenever I went to turn, the steering wheel would lock and feel like it was caught. Turns out there was a code for the transfer case causing it to act up, had that reset and it's been golden. Transmission isn't too smooth but hopefully it will after the car is broken in.

Turns out the issue still persists after it sat. Can't say I'm happy with the results on a brand new car.

The tsb for the transmission might help. A build date in feb could already have the latest software tho. Def worth looking into. It helped mine out big time, January build here.

Well, I dang sure didn't work THAT day!

The carpet that needs to be replaced and shouldn't have even been installed looking like that is just one piece. I wouldn't have an issue with the dealer replacing it. It's not like they have to take your entire interior apart.

The carpet is 4 pieces, not one. Left side Front, Right side Front, Middle, Cargo.

So not to push our collective luck, and sorry to threadjack but...how about some shielding / redesign of the ecodiesel's DEF injector to make it less susceptible to damage? :-D
