The carpet that needs to be replaced and shouldn't have even been installed looking like that is just one piece. I wouldn't have an issue with the dealer replacing it. It's not like they have to take your entire interior apart.

The carpet is 4 pieces, not one. Left side Front, Right side Front, Middle, Cargo.
Thanks Marlon, I'll follow up with the dealer!

Re: Picking up a brand new 14, need opinions!

Quick update: Dealership has determined the driveline module needs to be replaced, the part will be overnighted and repaired by tomorrow. Also mentioned the transmission TSB, which they will perform as well. I'll keep you updated.

So another update, car has been at the dealership ever since the first day. Dealer has no idea what is causing it, they have ordered a new transfer case. This is just obnoxious. Car has 200 miles on it and Chrysler is the least apologetic company out there. They lie through their teeth and say they're going to do the best they can to assure that I get the best car. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau to intervene.

Chrysler won't allow that yet. I have the BBB looking into it. I have yet to personally drive my new car, I've been driving a loaner since signing away $50k on a brand new Jeep.

Re: Picking up a brand new 14, need opinions!

If the WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee is selling as good as people say, there's no excuse for Chrysler NOT to buy back your brand new but defective vehicle.

Shame on you Chrysler. NO ONE who buys a $50,000 new vehicle should go through crap like this.

Deception, hope all works out for you.

Well, I am going to be following this thread in detail now.
Picked up my JGC Overland yesterday, drove the 6 miles home, got in it this morning, pulled out of garage, 1 mile later "Check Engine" light comes on with "Service DEF Sytem" See Dealer message.

Re: Picking up a brand new 14, need opinions!

I just had a repurchase from Nissan on my Pathfinder - just had a major bug in the transmission. So, I feel your pain and it also makes me gun shy on the GC.

Did Jeep fire the Quality people? How does a car pass final inspection, get driven onto the transport, delivered to the dealer without any notice of its turdworthiness?

I have had my Summit for 1 months and almost 4000 miles. It is a 12/14 build. Nothing but smiles. Hopefully that did not jinx me...

Damn dude! That sucks. You waited so long and now this. I'll be watching too, my CRD is on order currently D1, Due some time in May. Hopefully it's an easy fix. I haven't seen a lot of CRD issues, but it does tend to be one of two things - the filter or the DEF injector.
