Someone posted the sales numbers for the WK2 and I was wondering how much of this is people upgrading to a new model year and how much of this was new feet.

I hated my brothers mid-90s grand cherokee. Not to put down those that have them and love them, but I thought that thing drove like crap, road like crap, and in my opinion, looked like crap. I never thought I would buy a grand cherokee, but the 2011 is a thing of beauty!!!! I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a major let down with poor reliability and build quality....

I'll give you two out of three there!!! ;) The original ZJ styling is still apparent in each of the three iterations, and the overall shape of the WK2 seems to be more ZJ-like than prior models with the wheel well configuration. The ZJ and WJ were robust live axle designs and of course, drove poorly because of this. Time will only tell if the newer independent suspensions will hold up to off-road abuse as the early ones did.
