That a damn good question. I'll double check with the dealer, but i have a feeling i got jack on that one. Just check on Jeep website backup camera is not an option on Lardeo. But then again I haven't seem a aftermarket a/v harness for the new 8.4 radio display yet.

Well with my 13 I had to change the whole rear brow.... Unless they will drill and mount the camera to the brow you have? Mayb run the wires through the lift gate and into radio module? Lol idn man but good luck if they can do it make sure you get all the details I.e how are they going to run the wires before they do it!

I think that may have been an error/mistake, because when the order banks opened (and shortly before) both Milous' package descriptions and the one on the official order bank website didn't list the backup camera.

Fortunately, it's easier to see out of the back of this thing than I was originally expecting, so I'm okay with not having the backup camera.

Re: Possible to Add RearView Camera to 2014 Laredo E?

With the tailgate open yes. When closed anything less than 4' high is invisible. Does make backing into a parking place much easier.

Mine is wireless and the camera mounts on the license plate. Needed one hole behind the plate to connect the camera to the transmitter velcrowed inside the tailgate then just connected everything to the backup light circuit.

Re: Possible to Add RearView Camera to 2014 Laredo E?

padgett can you tell me what wireless camera your using. I just call the dealership they still haven't got the part yet. The issues with my so call "New" wk2 is adding up more by the days so not sure if I even want to keep it in the long run. So thinking of cancelling the order and cut my losses anyway I can.

Did you ever confirm if that was OEM or aftermarket? If you end up not doing it could you ask about it for us? My dealer is clueless on it.

Re: Possible to Add RearView Camera to 2014 Laredo E?

Is a hombrew of things from my junk bin - Roadmaster display, Peak license plate mount low level camera. Plan to move to tablet with next upgrade. Would have preferred to replace the rear wiew mirror with one having a display like my RV but Uconnect mike is there.

Re: Possible to Add RearView Camera to 2014 Laredo E?

You can always add one, wireless using a license plate camera is easiest, but it won't steer like the factory one does.

Agree that you really need one to back safely unless you have a power tailgate and open it when backing. Does seem to be a Chrysler thing, my Crossfire coupe is just as bad.

Re: Possible to Add RearView Camera to 2014 Laredo E?

I thought that if you opt for the 8.4 radio, it automatically includes a rear view camera.
