Re: Post Production Storage

I keep telling myself it's because of extra inspection or it's waiting on a peripheral part that wasn't available when it went through assembly. I'm pretty sure there is a reason behind it. I have two cars held up in different places, both Overland 4x4 V6 with Tech. I'm guessing it's the combination of those options that's causing the wait.

Re: Post Production Storage

Thanks for the info, I called the jeep customer service. They told me if was in the last step... However, when I asked him about the storage he told me he has no clue abt how long it could take. This car better be worth the wait lol. I told the guy I have been waiting 19 weeks and he had nothing to say.. I wonder if low volume dealers get put on the back burner bc I got mine from a small dealer and it seems like all the Pittsburgh big dealers all have the overlands with saddle in stock!

I don't think that's the case. I ordered mine from a dealer here who does good volume, but it sat forever (probably in some gravel lot up near Detroit). The one I ended up buying was shipped immediately after production, and it went to a small dealer in a small town.

I think it probably has most to do with where they get shunted off too and how many they park in behind it. They're more interested in moving units in general than moving specific units (no matter how long they've been there and how long the owner has been waiting). They aren't going to dig out a few specific vehicles for the buyers, no matter how much we might want them to. It's just how it is- sucks, but them's the brakes.
