Price advice '15 Summit Ecodiesel

Hello all,

With the DC group buy seemingly dead, I am looking for advice/opinions on pricing for a GC that I found. Details of the Jeep are as follows:

2015 Summit Ecodiesel
-platinum series group
-dark sienna interior
-rear DVD
-skid plate group

Msrp is 61,770. Invoice is 56,7xx. It is listed for 54,600 and there is a doc fee of 650. Also, it has a 1k miles on it as it was being demo'd by the GM.
I believe the $500 celebration cash is still running as well.

Not sure what number to shoot for in this instance with it being a demo. Any insight on where to start negotiating would be much appreciated!

Steven

That sounds like a pretty darn good deal to me, frankly...

edit...I overlooked it's being used as a demo. Definitely ask for more given that fact.

I'd push for more. That's less than 4% off invoice; some of the past group buy deals on here have been better with no miles. I'd offer $53,000 before incentive cash and make sure in writing that the warranties start at the odometer reading and date when you take possession.

I agree with MB...Try for $53k as it is a demo. No difference than buying an open box or demo'd electronic equipment, you always ask if they can do better.

Re: Price advice '15 Summit Ecodiesel

I agree with what's said above. I would try for more. I mean it's sort of a used car (even though the dealership sells it as new).
Take this for what it's worth as we have different year Summits with different options, but I paid $47,000+ttl for my new 2014 Summit V8 with no rear dvd or platinum. It had 13 miles on the odo at delivery. It was a late built 2014 with the 2015's on lots so it was discounted because of that as well.

Thanks for all your input gentleman, I greatly appreciate it. In my head I was thinking 52-53 before any bonus cash but just wanted some outside input to justify my thoughts.

I was prepared to ask about the warranty but getting it in writing is def a better solution!

I actually reached out to Nader recently and didn't get a response.....I later found out he is no longer at that dealership.

Again, thanks guys!

I agree with the others here that you should push for more $$ off. It's a decent deal as is, but with the 1K miles they should be willing to knock off another $1,500 or so.

I'm not sure how diesels are moving in your area, but here in Northern California they aren't moving at all. I've seen some new Summit diesels around here discounted $7k to $8K before negotiating. Best of luck with it!

Re: Price advice '15 Summit Ecodiesel

Just for a reference for you we recently picked up a 2015 Jeep GC Overland Diesel that was driven by a dealer owner for 45,000. Had 4,500 miles on it when we took delivery and it came with a decent amount of options. (Tow group, block heater, quadra-drive, and the advanced technology group)

Not sure how that sits in for a comparison but the MSRP for brand new with those options is 52,475 when built on jeep.com.

Good luck on working a deal!

My demo '14 Summit V6 had 4900 miles on it and we got it for $10k off MSRP.
