Pricing change on the 2014 GC line-up?

With the announcement of the 2015 pricing coming shortly, do we expect to see a drop in price for the 2014 models that remain on lots?

I don't have a GC yet but I'm in love with the 2014 Limited (features and fits my budget).

I was at the dealership this weekend to pick one up but I am wondering if it is worth waiting two (or so?) weeks to see what'll happen with pricing?

Is there usually a reduction on the old models when the new ones are announced? If they drop the price on the 2014 when the 2015s are announced, I'd rather just wait a little to save money on the 2014 Limited.

Any information you can provide on the usual tactics of Jeep when transitioning between years would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Pricing change on the 2014 GC line-up?

Nope, do not expect to see any price drops on 2014s...hot selling vehicle and the 2015 JGC will not actually be physically available until the August/September time frame. There were no "deals" in previous model year changeovers, either, for the most part...

It's also likely that there will be some minor price changes for 2015...and not in the downward direction...at least on trim levels that have gained features.

Thank you for the quick reply!

That is unfortunate news but I guess it helps me make up my mind. No sense in waiting to see if any price drops will happen.

I'll have to give the dealership a call this week and see when we can get me into that LTD!

Re: Pricing change on the 2014 GC line-up?

They have been manufacturing JGC nearly "non-stop" for a few years now and they don't really sit around on lots. The original order cut-off for MY14 was 18 April, but they extended it a month...I'll speculate that was because they knew they would sell them all, even with order banks opening for MY15 in the first week of June.

If you want to order MY14 from the factory, don't dilly-dally...that option is about to go away.
