Trouble is, you're not just endangering yourselves and your Jeeps, you're endangering others around you as well. If you're allergic to changing your tires twice a year (you should be rotating your tires about that often anyway, but I'm sure that's not necessary either...right?), at least get TRUE all weather tires like the Nokian WRg3's.

Funny thing is I live near where this test was performed, and like I said, I have not had any issues winter driving with the stock tires. If you think snow tires are better, great, then get them. For me, I'm going to stick with what I think works.

Here's a short video of a QTII, I have no experience with the QDII.

We ordered our JGC Overland with the ORAII package for our occasional forays onto State and National Park unpaved roads and certain "roads less travelled" here in Texas and in the mountain states.

We are not (and will not ever be) "hard core" off-road Jeep enthusiasts and the ORAII package came with QD. So whether it is "better or not", and even being as anal as I am, I actually care not.

IMHO, comparing the two and doing the "my 4x4 system is better than your 4x4 system" truly depends upon if you are a hard core off-roader.

If you aren't, just enjoy the tech...whenever you truly need it !

Re: Quadra-Drive II vs Quadra-Track II

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe on certain trim levels you can get the QD a la carte, as long as you have the Diesel or the V8.

Re: Quadra-Drive II vs Quadra-Track II

That may be what is causing the confusion. I know I had to order the V8 and the ORA2 package to get the QD on my Limited.

You are correct, I did.

I think that you can only get QD-II as a standalone option on the Overland.

That is what I have, an Overland and it was listed under options.
