Re: Quadralift Question

I can't speak for the Jeep, but I used to have an 03 range rover hse and it constantly adjusted the ride height of the vehicle. If the vehicle was turned off and I stepped on the rear bumper, the vehicle would lift itself higher in the air to remain level. If I stepped off the rear bumper after it adjusted, the vehicle would go up and then it'd let air out of the suspension and lower itself back down to be level. I would imagine the Jeep does the same thing to where if you park on an uneven surface, it'll readjust itself to remain level. Test that theory out and post back. I'm curious!

Re: Quadralift Question

Dealer said it is normal. Now, unless I have the answer frow the guy who designed this thing, I do not believe it. Now I have a bew cR thT behaves like an old person: farts and needs assitance to level itself.

They also f. Up the center console when trying to pull out the ql/ terrain console and now they have to replace it. ThEse people are careless. I hope you have a good dealer.

That is true they will level until the vehicle electronics shut down, normally that is about 15-30mins.

Re: Quadralift Question

I have watched so many videos on this vehicle and of course I can't find the one I am thinking of, but there was an early video with Phil Jansen where he explains that after the vehicle is off it is "normal" for it to adjust itself to level off. I have seen this happen to my overland a few times. My driveway is on an upward incline, when I pull in forward it happens and when I back in nothing.

Re: Quadralift Question

From the OM (page 374)

After the engine is turned off, it may be noticed that the
air suspension system operates briefly, this is normal. The
system is correcting the position of the vehicle to ensure
a proper appearance.

Hope this helps.....

Re: Quadralift Question

Speaking of Quadralift, MT suggests the WK2 handles better without it. Too, elsewhere, although I can't find it now, I read that the ride is rougher with Quadralift.

Re: Quadralift Question

I can't remember the thread, but someone on this forum owns one of each, and if I remember correctly, he doesn't notice much difference between the two suspensions.
