QuadraTrac I -- WK2 Vibrations/kinks worked out?

I'm a long time reader of the forum, posted here and there... I remember reading threads about clunks, whining, and vibrations reported by 4x4 owners. If I go 4x4 I'll probably have the QT1 system (which I understand is more like fulltime AWD).

Is it a quiet, seamless, trouble free system? Any owners with complaints in recent build GCs? I probably don't need AWD truthfully (I live in Texas) but it does add a measure of utility that it seems like a Jeep should have.

Thanks

There are very few reports here of whining or clunking, vibrations are typically tire related, mostly 20 inch size.

Mine is quiet and smooth as silk.

I have QT1 and I am happy enough with it. Through all kinds of snowy conditions I have always had enough traction. When the traction control kicks in it sounds like it does when the ABS kicks on. I can see where QT2 would be better in some situations, but for me QT1 is plenty.
