Re: Question

I prefer the convention sized sun roof. Can't see the expense of the pano or the expense of replacing it as I use the roof bars frequently and things have been known to strike the metal roof. I'll opt for an aftermarket unit. They usually have a better warranty than the 7/70,000 for a lot less $$$.

Re: Question

Re 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and Overland. I understand they have to be ordered with sunroof. How does sunroof affect headroom? Having never had a sunroof I would like to know that. The original question related to sunroof and back-seat video. Perhaps, I should start a new thread. Rich in Toledo, Ohio.

Re: Question

Panoramic all the way, had it in my X5 and it was incredible. I've been waiting for more auto companies to come out with this feature. I have kids as well, but I'll do the headrests if I have to...
Cost-schmost... it's worth it.

Scott,
I thought it was for the kids...And not you?!?... They're the ones watching it. How nice do they need to be?

You guys with the idea of TV in headrest... I thought of the same...then i realized the jeep has active headrest. Is it really possible to install a TV in the headrest with this technology? I don't think it can be done but I guess you can always buys the ones with the strap to attach it around the headrest?

Re: Question

If these are the standard headrests on the 11 JGC, we'd be buying new ones anyway. Or is that pretty much standard for headrest installs?

I don't like the idea of strapping on a portable DVD player, I've seen these "installs" and they aren't pretty.

I'm interested in options bc the pano is a must

These are a MOPAR part so they are designed to go into the active head rest
The mechanicals for the active headrest, reside in the seat, not the headrest.
See below: (Granted not a JGC headrest, but you get the point)

The mechanicals for the Chrysler system are entirely contained within the headrest:
