I've noticed in pictures there appears to be 2 different types of leather seats in Limiteds with non-ventilated seats. One type of leather seats has very smooth, clean lines while the other has what appear to be kind of like wrinkles or pleats in several sections and looks like what is sometimes referred to with names like "supple" leather. I really prefer the cleaner design, would anyone know if there are in fact 2 leather choices for the Limited in addition to ventilated seats and a possible option code?
The Luxury Group II has the perforated vented seats. The smooth Capri Leather is standard on Limited. Black or Biege for now. Nappa leather is comming in Saddle color (late availability). Sorry, can't help with codes.

Check out the pics in Bozer's thread about his new black Limited. I think the wrinkles in the seats will get that way quickly if not straight from the factory. The Limited has two choices, but the 2nd is the Luxury group that has the perforated ventilated leather.

I posted pics from Grand Destination showing most of the interior combinations a few months ago. But I repost 2 pics to help clear things up. There are 2 seats available for the Limited. The Capri leather that's standard on the Limited and Laredo X, and the perforated Nappa leather that's included in the Luxery Group 2 package. The optional seat has a tight fit, and is the same exact seat that is standard in the Overland, minus the piping and the emblem in the seat back.
Here's a pic of the standard seat. Limited and Laredo X
Here's the standard Overland seat. make believe the piping and emblem isn't there and that's your LG2 seat.
Good question. It does look in the pics that the padding is different. I took both shots, so the angle is about the same. I should say I didn't notice a difference while I was at the event.
Ive sat in the limited seats that i own, overland seats, and the ventilated seats on the luxury package on a limited model at the dealer. Padding seems the same in my opinion.
I think the structure of the seat would need to change, and that the perforated leather couldn't be allowed to gather for the ventilation to work. Something has to be different!
Possibly the foam is identical but has holes as the leather does to allow the air from the fan to push through.. No clue without someone taking one apart!
As far as the difference in seats go I have sat in a number of the going from dealer to dealer before I made my purchase. As stated above I agree and have not noticed the difference. I believe it may be in the actual production of the seats themselves. Each of these seats are wrapped by hand some be stretched a bit tighter than the other. If you watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu9zwzXFOP0&feature=sub you will notice some seats look different than others. I could be totally off on this but it's just a thought.
