The overland apparently comes with the cover/plug for the 2" receiver itself, but not the cover for the whole shebang like the Summit has.

My dealer installed the receiver plug as part of PDI, you should go razz your salesguy about that; AFAIK they are supposed to install all that stuff

While on the lot buying my jeep I looked to see if the summit bumper cover piece could be adapted to the non-summit, but the bumper plastic is a different shape altogether.

Only the 4x4's come standard with the hitch the 4x2 the hitch is a option. If you get the hitch you should have got the hitch cover.

Re: Question for 2014 owners

Sorry to turn this topic a bit but don't want to start a new thread. There seem to be a ton of Jeeps out there with the exact option I want but no Tow Package. Can the dealer add that or is that strictly factory?

Re: Question for 2014 owners

They can add a hitch and wiring, but the added cooling usually includes a larger radiator and load leveling shocks. If you are only towing something very light, dealer installed option should be fine. If you will be adding weight ti the hitch, factory installed is the way to go.

If you don't go factory, there are also good, non dealer, aftermarket options.

Re: Question for 2014 owners

We don't tow anything, our hitches are only used for bike racks. With that being said, the only reasons we'd go with factory is that it's integrated and looks beautiful, unlike some crap hanging out from under the bumper and it brings some upgraded cooling and engine components which may help with resale and reliability.
