Re: Question for the 2wd folks

3 previous Jeeps were V-8 4x4. Found myself going off road less and less. Got tired of the maintenance and repairs.

Went with 2wd and V-6 for 2012. What a joy. Quieter, more responsive handling, better fuel economy, and far less maintenance, even for street driving.

I've taken it off road a few times, but mostly on dirt roads. No more rock climbing for me. The v-6 takes many fewer plug changes, oil changes, and driveling service.

I have begun to enjoy the lighter and better handling feeling Jeep. The previous models were pretty nose heavy by comparison.

Still understand the draw to the V-8 and 4 WD, but for this time in my life, I can enjoy the easier going Jeep. (flame suit ON!)
