Re: Question for the guys who put HIDs in the fogs...

Yup...these went into my WK2. They're FANTASTIC. I took a BUNCH of pics, step by step. Plan on doing a write up in the next day or 2.

Sorry guys...

Everything went in well and the HIDs in the fog lights are AWESOME. Just haven had too much time to sit down and do the write up. I'll probably have it up Wednesday sometime, as I have about 6 hours to kill at the airport.

Cool, thanks. Looking forward to it. How much does the HID fog light conversion kit cost?

$199.99 plus a discount at KBCarstuff.com, site supporter. I think it was like $170 or something. That's for the premium kit. They also sell a cheaper version.

Thanks PB, any heat challenges or plastic deformation with the new kit? Would be interested in your review after you've had those puppies lit up for a few hours. Would love a set here for mountain driving. Cheers.

Expensive!!!

If they look totally awesome and provide more light, then I'll likely jump onboard. Can't wait for your write up and pictures so I can perform this upgrade myself

So far so good. I've had them on for as long as 2 hours and don't see any color or clarity difference in the clear lens or the silver reflector. The lights do feel significantly hotter to the touch, though.

The light output is amazing.

I run mine all the time. No melting or warping noticed at all. Love the fogs but they are bright as hell due to the completley clear lens.
