Re: Questions on Placing a JGC Order with Dealer

I had to put $500 down BUT I put $2000 down since I wanted to put all I could on Discover to get the 1% back from them. $2000 is max dealer will allow on Discover.

Re: Questions on Placing a JGC Order with Dealer

I agree with Sno. If you're waiting for someone here to guarantee nothing will go wrong with the GC you buy, then it's time to move on. I don't care what make you buy, you buy your ticket and take your chances. Some makes, statistically have fewer infancy defects, but that's just a statistic. Space shuttles break, bicycles break, cars break. It's what machines do. We have, I would bet, millions of people who's lives are dedicated to fixing broken machines. Test drive the vehicles you are attracted to, and decide on one, and learn to live with whatever comes down the road. I'm not sure if you've mentioned test driving a GC, but if you haven't. please do, and decide if it's worth taking the good with the bad.

You've pissed your family off before and survived didn't you? Why worry about it now? Go get your jeep and join this family.

If you actually haven't even talked to a dealer yet then your just wasting breathe thinking about what they MIGHT do. They get monthly and quarterly bonuses if they hit certain marks, but they aren't going to tell you that. Some dealers are willing to make a deal and some won't because of it being a HOT ITEM. You need to contact (call or email) them on what you want and their best price (let them know you have other dealers working on this as well). Make them fight for your business and get the best deal you can.

Otherwise, drive to DC and get on the 7% under invoice deal...no dealer has been able to match that!

Make the best decision possible based upon your personal needs whatever they may be..keep an open mind about it all and what the monthly cost will be to your pockets. Do this all when it's convenient, there nothing wrong with coming here to ask questions and read info prior to you visiting a dealer.

You can do everything over email. I didn't set foot in the dealer until we agreed on the numbers.

Yes, good idea, and something to consider. I will check out the posts about that now to get ideas of how much it cost.

I spent 6 hours at 2 Dealers last week and struck out with the Deal I thought I could get based on reading the posts here. I drove a V6 Summit and a V8 Overland and concluded that I want a Summit V8 for the bigger engine and better stereo. The only color I want is Auburn Pearl, so it will have to be ordered if I want it now as NONE have shipped to my area yet (Or I can wait for the Auburn Pearls to hit my local lots in a month or two.

No offense taken, I need all of the suggestions and pushing to get me off the fence....Thanks for being Firm with me !!

Yes, I have been on 6 different Test Drives a 3 different Dealers over the past month totaling close to 50 miles and sampled Summits, Overlands, V6 and V8. There is No Doubt that a JGC Summit is the Truck I want, now just have to decide if it's worth taking the good with the bad as you mentioned above.

Test Drive info here:

Thanks and Happy Easter !

Good, now that you decided what you wanted, now you just need to pick the dealer and order. Glad you didn't take the wrong way, just sometimes people need a little push to get over the hump. If you got a great deal, I don't think it will matter what time of the month you buy the car. Just get the extended warranty and enjoy the car

You should be able to purchase anytime before the original warranty expires
