Quick Question about the Wk2 rear windows

Do the rear windows roll all the way down? Forgot to check when I was at the dealer.

Thanks

Huh?

Just to clarify my original post, do the windows roll all the way down or do they stop with about 1/4 of the window up?

Re: Quick Question about the Wk2 rear windows

No, they don't roll all the way down.

Click the link to my WK2 pictures in my signature. The second picture shows the rear windows all the way down.

Re: Quick Question about the Wk2 rear windows

They don't roll down all the way in most vehicles. It's not purely a "safety" issue. Look at the doors... there's no room for the window.

Re: Quick Question about the Wk2 rear windows

Yeah I hate that as well... I spent a good hour going through the manual and messing with the front and aft switches... Trying to figure out how to get them down... I really wish they went all the way down. Just dont like the look with them 1/8 up...

How would you like the look if the windows were about 4" less width? This is standard practice when the wheel well arcs through the rear door. There's no way around it.

Re: Quick Question about the Wk2 rear windows

I completely understand that.... But that does not mean I like it.

With that said, I dont care "WHY" they did it the way they did... I still dont like it... It was a disapoinment when I learned of it, it just dont look good. Im the type of guy who would rather drive with the windows down then with them up with the AC blasting... Im not a fan of AC. So I like to rest my arm on the window frame... If I where a passenger in the back seat I would not be able to do so.

Perhaps they should have spent just a few more days on the drawing board and figured how to make them work... Thats how I look at it.

BUT we love our JGC.. Im not going to take it back because the back windows dont roll down... LOL.

SPEED SAFE, NICK
