Re: Raced for pink slips...

I'm surprised the owner let you park next to it......if you did race (humor) and to be fair, you should allow the Lambo a 1-2 sec head-start. Just thinking of the potential for potholes......

I used to be a Ferrari guy, but ended up spending more on maintenance of the 1 Ferrari 512TR I owned than the 4 Lamborghini Murcielago's I've owned...

That is a beautiful Ferrari though. What colour?

I'm sure you knew but Ferrari's became way more streetable after the 512TR era. Namely, the 360 Modena, which changed the perception that Ferrari's can be driven without spending an arm and leg for maintenance.

I am with you though, I have lost the passion I used to have for Ferrari's and would take a Lambo instead.

It is a very beautiful Ferrari - Red with black interior. Here is a pic from 2007 when I was trading it for a my first Murcielago.

Yes, they are. However, the 360 - even the 360 Challenge Stradale - don't have great performance numbers. I had a 1991 911 Turbo with a few minor mods (no engine work) that pulled away from a 360 Challenge Stradale at triple digit speeds. And to me, the body design of the 360 and even 430 is lacking what they used to have. The 355 (which unfortunately is a maintenance nightmare I hear) is one I like because of the wedge shape - wide rear and very sharp lines.

Actually - really well. They are AWD. Combined with Pirelli Sottozero tires they do great. I'll post some pics later. A friend drove his Murci SV over Donner pass in January 2010 on his way to Barrett-Jackson and had no problems. I think I can find some pics of that too.

The look on peoples face when they see one of those cars in the snow is priceless.

Re: Raced for pink slips...

I cringe whenever I see a nice car driven in the winter up here in Ontario.
What with the amount of salt and crud they throw on the roads, you can almost hear the metal being eaten away.

If I had the car in the OP or any of the cars mentionned here it would definately only come out on nice sunny warm days.
(in other words maybe a week in mid August)
