I have the Yakima on mine. Works great. Get the fairing. You're gonna need it.

haven't used a fairing in the past on WK or X5...do you feel it just cuts down on noise, handling, gas?

Noise for sure. Without the fairing it was unbearable even at 45 mph. 75-80 with sunroof shade open was hard to talk to someone in back seat. I slid the front bar back and added fairing. While its noisier than nothing it still helps.

yakima railgrab

Just saddled up my Yakima roof rack... love the look! Took all of 20 minutes to install with the low clamps. drove down the road at 50mph and did notice some extra noise. The noise was not very bad at all and tolerable at 50mph. Ill hit the interstate soon and give another ride report.
I installed the front 1"5/8 from the front of the rail and 32" in-between the two rails...
