The MDS plus the torque converter locking up at too low a speed. I read many comments early on about the transmission being in too high of a gear at low speeds like 5th gear at 25 mph taxing the engine, but really thats not the issue the issue is the torque converter is programmed to lock up at those low speed and to me its just stupid. I mean that can't save much fuel and its annoying. It get that rumble and then step on the gas a little and it unlocks. I don't think they should be programmed to lock up at anything under 50 mph.

I think the manufacturers will take even a small increase in mph. I don't know how true it is, but years back a lot of car magazines reported that Ford had come up with the 22F battery size just to save a few pounds.

Re: Radio Sounding Better

Bill, what are your opinions on Surround Sound on or Off?

(Is this an available setting with your Jeep? I can't remember right now...)

In the Dart, I keep it off. It sounds terrible with it on.

Re: Radio Sounding Better

I kept the surround sound on for about a month, then turned it off.

I sure would trade all these radio 'enhancements' for a flipper glass.

Nobody has been able to give me a straight answer on that yet.

One week I tried an experiment at my old job. I have met a few Liberty and Grand Cherokee owners who didn't even have a clue that their Jeep HAD a flipper glass. It's quite sad.

"OMG WHERE IS MY WINDOW?"

Re: Radio Sounding Better

I just use the aux input. Had free Sirius for two weeks but rarely bothered. My ripped CDs sound much better.

Flipper glass is nice at the beach to get the breeze.

Sadly, I didn't know I had it until it was mentioned in this forum... Now I use it all the time, especially when I have the horses at the Horse Park and I want something out of the back of the JGC without spilling lots of things out of the Jeep...
