Me too, but it's my wife's daily driver so I don't get to use them that much. The only thing better is the automatic hi-beams. Those things are amazing.

Re: Rain sensing wipers or not

I noticed that my wipers were irractic when driving during rain storm. Would speed up slow down. Thought rain sensing was on. Went to evic and found that it was set on standard mode. Did anyone else have that issue? Thought standard mode would just be normal speed sensing.

Re: Rain sensing wipers or not

I turned off my rain sensing for the exact reasoning as CraigZ. I found the speeds to be far too varying. Theyre great if its a good rain storm but if its a mist or light rain I find the speed and consistency vary too greatly.

Its not that hard to turn a knob and I can get the exact speed that I want depending on the weather.

You can change the sensitivity as well it's like the first 3 or 4 positions. I think mine is on the second one down and just works really well.

Me too!

I agree the rain sense work irratic heavy rain is fine but lite rain they are all over the place. One thing i started doing that helped a little is changing my wiper blades twice a year instead of once a year, I think they like a very clean wipe to work correctly. On the other hand the auto diming high beams work flawlessly though that is one feature they got just right.

Re: Rain sensing wipers or not

Definitely not a fan of rain sensing wipers. I've had them on an '04 WJ, '07 BMW and now my '14 WK2 and they've all been equally as erratic. Thankfully I can turn the feature off on my WK2. I can't believe the technology for the system hasn't improved in the last 10+ years.

Re: Rain sensing wipers or not

I posted a separate thread a bit a go on rain sense wipers as an an aftermarket option but figured you guys might be a better source of info. Does anyone know if it's possible to add rain sense wipers if it didn't come with the jeep? I see you can by the sensor from mopar.

One thing I noticed during Chicago Wintertime; if the wiper isn't clean or has snow/ice stuck to it where it goes over the sensor, the wipers go crazy. A dirty wiper smears water over the sensor making it seam that there is a heavy downpour.
