Re: Flat Towing Problem Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2014

Just checking to see if anybody has had a problem flat towing behind an RV? My problem is that after towing I can't get the Jeep out of neutral and use it to drive. This is second trip that I have towed behind RV and both times Jeep is stuck in neutral. 1st trip had to be towed to dealer. Who said they tried to figure out what problem was and where not sure what it was. After 10 + times they got it out of neutral.

Following the procedures in manual seem to work when at home or dealer. Problem has been after towing at least an hour or longer.

Yesterday, second trip towing the Jeep and same thing as 1st trip. Was on phone with Jeep and local service dept. for over an hour. Tried disconnecting battery as recommended by dealer and retrying procedures and still stuck in neutral.

Anybody have similar problems? Bought Jeep to tow behind RV. Looking like bad decision.

I also purchased a JGC because it could be flat towed behind my MH. Please send me more details of your problem and fix. PM me with your contact details so we can talk with you directly.

Would it be possible to put the vehicle in neutral, then disconnect the batt for towing,at destination reconnect then and use?

Just throwing some ideas out there...
