Any idea how long it will take to get a notice from Chrysler that the jeeps are recalled, or do I go to there site and put my vin in?

Of coruse you have every right to be here and complain. You just are in the extreme minority though. Most people don't have the issues you are having.

Jeep owners are loyal. As one person posted, he loves his Jeep, but wishes they would fix it so he could drive it. Or those who post that their Jeep is trouble free ... except for x,y,z.

So you and others keep saying.

I know forums are where people who have issues with their vehicles come to get some information and to vent a little. I get it.

I've been in a lot of car forums in my day and WITHOUT EXCEPTION this forum has more complaints than I have ever seen for a new vehicle. And I've owned quite a number of new vehicles in my day.

I've never seen anything like this.

Exactly. THERE IS NO OTHER VEHICLE out there that I would rather drive than our two Jeeps -- the 2014 GC and my 2002 Wrangler. We went looking at other vehicles this weekend and NOTHING compares to our Grand Cherokee. There is NOTHING and I mean NOTHING out there that we want more. We found our perfect vehicle, and we bought it. But it turned into a frigging nightmare of epic proportions.

I JUST WANT THEM TO BE QUALITY VEHICLES where I don't have to do anything but change the oil and do regular maintenance.

That's the experience I had with my 9-2X, with my Forester, with my Mazdaspeed6 -- NOTHING but regular maintenance. Why? Because they were quality vehicles put together competently.

When I hear on TV, "Jeep Grand Cherokee -- the BEST of What We're Made Of," I have to spit out my coffee.

Sorry Jeep, you have a long way to go.

I've noticed that as well. my 13 5.7 summit doesn't have any issues <knock on wood>, but I do notice that the WK2 forum has more complaints than regular posts.

Re: Really?!?!...

That is because the people without problems are out enjoying their cars, not posting that they have no issues......

Are you serious there are pages upon pages upon pages of threads just about the problems with the Uconnect system alone.

Re: Really?!?!...

When I owned my Buick Enclave the forum I was on relating to that vehicle was a veritable wall of tears! JNAP is building around 1,200 vehicles a day, the complaints you see here are a drop in the bucket. I'm not minimizing the heartache some here are going through, but it's certainly not indicative of the whole set of JGC owners. When Chevy's satisfaction poll was brought up, the positive spin it shows was written off to fanboy love of the vehicle. When folks here with a lingering problem post, they make it sound like all GCs are full of problems. If you want an unbiased view, get off of this forum and go to the automotive review sites and look at a more broad based sample of owner and expert reviews. Statistical error on this forum will be off the charts do to the nature of it's membership.

Yes he is serious and right too!!! The people on those pages probably don't even come close to representing more than .005% of the GCs produced so far! 4000 plus vehs produced per week. 32,000 vehs in just the last 8 weeks. How many "different" posters on those pages?

Re: Really?!?!...

Funny that I started reading this thread. Today my neighbors MY14 Summit had to be towed out of his driveway with 500 miles on it. Also a friend with a MY14 Overland Hemi is suffering from U connect and random stalling on the road issues. I was all ready to go but I think I am going to wait just a little longer to pull the trigger. Plus there will probably be incentives to buy in a few months I am hoping
