Re: Rear Flipper Glass

I guess nobody else but me has an appreciation for the improved rearview visibility that is afforded by the lack of the flipper mechanism.

Re: Rear Flipper Glass

Sucks they removed it, but I get improved safety/visibility over an option bot everyone used. I still think they should have made it an option to add and not just flat out remove it. Those that didn't want it could omit the item or find a model without it and those that wanted it could still have it. Best of both worlds and would have solved disappointing a segment of customers. I'm hoping they wise up and have it on the next model or if not, at least put a power window back there to roll down.

The mirrors are enough when going forward, and the camera is there for backing up. A switch to turn the camera on when going forward would have worked for people who want to see where they have been.

A few folks mentioned that when towing, the flipper gives them better access. In that case the slightly larger rear glass only provides a better view of what you are towing.

With little tweaks like removing the flipper, Jeep is moved more and more out out the "Sport", "Utility" category into the mall crawler crossover group.
