Rear headrest removal?

How in the hell do these things come off? I've reviewed the information http://www.wk2jeeps.com/interior/201...moval_001E.pdf - but I don't see a slot that releases it. There is a brass-colored wire that goes around the plastic trim piece, I don't want to try to take it all the way off though...

I need to take them off so the car seats will fit. Since the headrests point forward, they keep the car seat from being able to rest against the back.

Re: Rear headrest removal?

This is what the clip looks like:

I'm guessing this is a different design and that snap ring has to be pulled off...

Re: Rear headrest removal?

Patience is a virtue they say...

In any case, I suppose this can go to the DIY/HowTo now:

There are one of the ring clips on each rear headrest, grab a small pick and pull it around the plastic cover and it slides off.

Guess I never noticed it either, since I tend to tilt my rear seats back a little past the default 'straight up' to be more comfortable for passengers.

But the clip removal info is good info to have.
