Question Rear Lift gate

Is there a rear Lift gate height adjustment so not to open all the way? Fear it will hit my garage doors if not put in park mode on my Overland ?

Re: Rear Lift gate

There are some vehicles that have this feature. Unfortunately, the GC is not one of them. The lift height can not be adjusted.

did u actually measure it? I had doubts mine would clear then did a trial run while standing on a bucket ready to stop it if it was gonna hit and it cleared by 2 or 3 inches...good luck..

Re: Rear Lift gate

From my own personal experience, when the lift gate *does* hit the garage door, no damage is done to either.

Re: Rear Lift gate

you can usually adjust your garage door some. Also, if the door is older, this probably should be done anyway. Mine does not strike my garage door at all when open. My doors are standard and I have 275/65 tires on the jeep.

Re: Rear Lift gate

I have a standard 3 car garage and typical doors and openers. The lift gate has plenty of clearance in normal ride height mode. I never really use the off road settings unless im just playing with the air suspension and certainly never drive in them. So in normal settings I would imagine you should have plenty of room unless your doors hang unusually low for some reason.
