Re: Receiver Shackle Bracket

I've had these sitting on my Amazon wish list for a while...

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FQ7L92/...I1NFFJVYMHLXW7

http://www.amazon.com/CSI-W580-Winch...pr_product_top

Just haven't found the need to get it yet.

D-Ring Receiver Hitch

Works great.
I wrapped black electrical tape around mine to keep it from 'clanking'.
I keep the D-ring inside so it doesn't 'grow legs'.

My main reason for buying it was to keep the 'parking by braille' idiots off my rear bumper.
It will serve the purpose of keeping the parking idiots off your tail, but I would hesitate to use that one for much. Maybe pulling a small car out of a snowy ditch. Even then I would put a weight on the strap to keep it from kicking back. The Chinese made shackles have been known to fail at less than their working load limit.

Re: Receiver Shackle Bracket

I bought the SmittyBuilt one mentioned earlier and am very pleased with it. Fits in to the space I have available in the spare insert so it's ready if I even need it.
