Recent flash problems, oil problem, dpf problem now

Took the 2014 Grand Cherokee Eco-Diesel jeep in for some work related to 3 OBD codes tripping the MIL.

PCM P058500 - Cruise control problem
PCM u2e00e8 - They had no clue what causes this code
PCM b197700 - Rear hatch problem

Also asked them to fix seat squeak, rear end creak, rattle near the driver handle on roof, and my crappy fm reception.

3 days later they say they can't recreate the rattles so no fix, and that I need to change my oil. I had 5500miles left on the oil when I took it in. They had changed the oil the first time, I did the second. I ask why they would say that and they indicate new codes came up on the OBD/MIL light problem. I inform them they sold me the oil and filters (it was the right oil and filter verified through many places including owners manual).

I go meet them to show them the squeaks and rattles that I showed their first guy when I dropped the vehicle off. They say oh yea those rattles. I also indicate the oil change light says its 23k miles since change, which is odd since that coincides with the vehicle miles. They tell me they flashed some updates, and would have their tech look into it.

A hell week, dropped off Monday, drove with them Wednesday, and end of day Friday, they say their diesel mechanic hasn't even looked at it. ugh. They do inform me its drivable so I take it back to come back when they get a new seat frame and rear end bracket in from chrysler.

That was last Friday, this morning for the first time ever (23k miles and 18 months) I get a message that the DPF is almost full and needs to be driven at highway speeds. I have a 30+ mile commute at 60 MPH and this did nothing to the error light. Usually takes around 45 minutes to drive the commute.

Flashed by dealer in handwritten notes:
181904bv - 18-019-04bv
1819059s - 18-019-059s

New PCM Codes
PCM - P1D30-00 - Oil viscosity too low
PCM - P249D-00 - Closed Loop Reductant Injection Control at Limit
Flow Too Low

Going to go by today and see if they can do anything about the dpf message because 30 miles at 30 MPH is dangerous commute, not to mention it would take 2 hours.

Has anyone had any problems with these flashes or know what the flashes do? One interesting thing is my average mpg on the EVIC shows 29-30.5 whereas before it was 26.5-28 ish. havent gotten the paper mileage to calc on fuelly.

Re: Recent flash problems, oil problem, dpf problem now

as a follow up...
Just got back from the dealership. The service advisor, one of their better ones that I prefer, indicated that he thought it was a bad scr if with that message and the driving not clearing it. He pulled the codes, and indicated there were new ones related to the SCR and they are replacing. He said he'd done several recently.

Has anyone heard that there were that many issues with the SCR?

he was going to look into the other codes and re flash, but that wouldn't resolve the scr. Glad its under warranty for another 13k, unfortunately that's a $1100.

The saga continues. Yesterday the filter was installed. after a brief test drive the MIL light came back on indicating problems with the SCR. Next on the replacement list... the DEF injector.

Not sure what the longevity is supposed to be on these, but I'm getting a bit sick thinking of the long-term affordability of this jeep.

Glad they gave a loaner/rental. 3-4 more days of waiting for my jeep.

The P249D and the P1D30 are due to a botched flash by the dealer where they ultimately didn't follow the instructions on how to perform the update.

The P1D30 fault prevents the DPF regeneration from happening, so hence why the message appeared on your EVIC since it wants to regen but is blocked. If you perform the 3x pedal stomps to reset the oil life then it will go away and the regen will take place.

They reset the oil light cycle with the pedal pumping. Just hung up with the dealer, they reflashed things... the DEF injector they ordered was delivered with a fuel injector in the DEF labeled box.

On a good note, they did get the DEF from another local dealer and are going to be putting it in tomorrow. They are also replacing the seat frame and the rear hatch part that is creaking. I hope.
