Then I switched to manual temp control and was able to use Recirc. After I got out of tunnel I switched back to Auto and later was able to use Recirc in Auto.

It seems that if you are in Auto and haven't reached desired temperature yet you are not able to use Recirc.
Good to know..THANKS! I use the Lincoln Tunnel, which I think is far worse than the Holland due to the commercial traffic (Box vans, Ryder trucks, etc.) that are allowed there and not the Holland. Those fumes will KILL you.

Re: Recirculate Mystery Logic

I've yet to drive since all of these posts went up...I've barely left my office (but that's another story).

Anyway, I look forward to experimenting with all of this once I get in a vehicle again (and a taxi, subway or bus don't count).

Re: Recirculate Mystery Logic

I have been watching this thread for some time now and have experimented with it. Everytime I push the button, it works. Hot, cold, windows up, windows down, auto on, auto off, temp set to max, temp set to min, fan on high, fan on low. It just works. Perhaps those that have been experiencing this problem, have a hardware failure in their HVAC system. Some cars will use blinking lights as a form of diagnostic trouble code, so it is possible that when you activate the switch the computer fails to receive a confirmation signal or detects another problem and switches back to normal operation and flashes the LED to let the user know that there is a problem.

Re: Recirculate Mystery Logic

Sorry to dig this thread up, but my Recirc works fine now in all temp conditions on Auto setting.... Maybe when the service guys did some updates this was part of them?

Anyone else who had recent updates notice this too?
