Recommended dealers for service in NY tri-state area.

Hey guys, like the title says I'm looking for a trustworthy dealer to service my 15' Altitude in the NY tristate area(NY, NJ, CT). I live in lower Westchester County and all the local dealers are terrible. I made the drive out to East Hills Jeep in Greenvale on LI, about a 25 min drive, and Westbury Jeep.

Both of these service centers are awesome but they don't give loaners and tend to be booked solid since they service wide areas. I'm not opposed to going to NJ or CT, just as long as they give loaners. It seems most dealers in the area offer "rentals" that you're paying out of pocket for. Thanks for any input!

Thanks THEIFNDNIGHT. I was trying to avoid that place. My buddy had a nightmare experience with that dealer and his SRT. I guess it all depends on which techs get assigned to your ride. Plus the service reviews on dealer rater were bad.

Thanks Dabitz. They're about 60 miles from me but I'll still check them out.

westbury LI has a great service department as you mentioned. drive from nyc to them, about 20 miles. no loaners unless you bought car from them.

Re: Recommended dealers for service in NY tri-state area.

We always had our cars serviced and fixed (warranty) at White Plains Jeep. I wouldn't buy a car from them. But to tell you the truth I can't think of a time that I had a problem with any of their repairs. I currently use Meadowland of Carmel, as they gave us excellent deals. The few things they have done, was ok.

Re: Recommended dealers for service in NY tri-state area.

Cant speak to Paramus but i've heard bad reviews.

Route 46 CJDR in Little Falls/ Totawa NJ hasnt given me problems. They give you a loaner (usually something foreign) but it seems only if you are paying over a certain bill or if its an srt/ you make a huge fuss.

I dont trust Decozen CJDR in Verona NJ with a matchbox car let alone my vehicle. They make up their own recall notice to follow up the manufacturers one and then tell you only they can fix it..its pretty funny.

Hudson CJDR seems too busy to care. Had to confirm appointments tons of time, even my case manager at jeep re-booked me at rt 46 because Hudson couldnt seem to get it together.

Havent tried teterboro jeep yet.

Unfortunately, we dont get the same treatment/ service a 2000 3 Series does at a BMW shop. You'd think it would have gotten better by now.

In my experience, Teterboro sales is awesome. I've bought 8 grand Cherokees from them since 2004, however their service department is not the best.

I take my SRT to route 18 jeep in east Brunswick at the suggestion of a fellow forum member. Rte18 has been phenomenal and they offer loaners if you request one when making an appointment.

Re: Recommended dealers for service in NY tri-state area.

I've used a few in CT. Based on my experiences I think the best in Fairfield county is Greenwich Jeep. Never had an issue with them, the service advisor were great and they always had the jeep in and out in a day.

I took my jeep back from Pamby in Ridgefield because it took them three times to correct a TSB which I ultimately never got corrected. My 2012 overland had a bad daul pane sunroof frame that had a TSB. Twice they tried to adjust the frame instead of replacing it per the TSB. The third time they kept the car all day and then told me I could pick it up at the end of the day and that they had ordered the part. I got there to pick up the car and they proceeded to tell me that when the part came in they would need the car for three days to replace the frame despite the TSB says it took 6 hours. When questioned on this their response was they couldn't dedicate a technician for the entire day to one car. I told them to cancel the order and I haven't stepped back in the dealership since them.

Danbury Jeep also didn't start working on cars when the appt was set up for. Dropped my jeep off the night before for warranty work to be done the following morning and was told it would only take 4 hours. At 3pm that day they called and told me it wouldn't be ready until midday the following day. When I questioned when they started working on the car the advisor couldn't answer me.

Thanks MexSRT. I've been to Westbury once before for an oil change since I was in the area. Their service bays are usually full which is a good sign and it's only a 30 min drive door to door.

Thanks sost1sg. Did you purchase your SRT there or do they offer loaners to all customers?
