What type of discount (% off 2014 Invoice price) would you shoot for on remaining 2014 Grand Cherokee Overlands once 2015 official sales launch occurs on 9/1? When would you time your purchase?

Anyone seeing any discounts or cashback offers on the '14s yet?
So far all I've seen is lease prices, and even then only on the Laredo's in stock.

It looks like the dealers may think they can unload them so far on folks who want a '15 but can't get a decent delivery time, so they take a '14.

Since the MY15 vehicles are more or less a "rolling continuation" of the MY14 with minor exceptions (largely in the Summit), there may not be a whole lot of extra dealing on MY14 vehicles. JGC is a "hot seller" and the lots clear naturally. You can certainly ask, however! The group buys seem to be offering identical terms on MY14 and MY15.

10% below invoice is what I shot for. but yes getting there right before end of month is a good motivator if the dealership is behind on their 'numbers' and they care more about pushing a unit out than making money on it.

10% below invoice is what I shot for....
I assume you meant 10% below MSRP not INVOICE, right?

10% off INVOICE will virtually never happen in a "clean" deal with no rebates. 6.25% or so net (off INVOICE) is the best you can get with a group buy.

So to hit the OP's question about incentives, they are very regionalized. If you ever want to see what your local market (zip specific) is offering just go to truecar dot com and config a rig for your zip. Truecar uses real dealer selling prices to have an up to date localized pricing engine based upon the dealers who signed up for the program and pay the referral fee to Truecar.

I am not saying 10% off INVOICE isn't possible just that that would be a rare, not common, price level to achieve.

If you did mean 10% off MSRP then that would be a reasonble bogey for a deal hunter as JGC's will have an invoice of 1.5-6% ish off MSRP. My 5.5% below invoice deal became 13% below MSRP including $1000 rebate.

Confoosed yet? I just wrecked my brain typing this.....:0

I just leased a 2014 Altitude for only $389 per month.

$1000 out of pocket + 1st month + DMV (plate transfer)

I also received a $1000 lease incentive being that my wife is leasing a '14 Altima. Took a little bit of negotiating and me standing my ground about my out of pocket cash and monthly payment i felt comfortable with. I also threw at them the fact that it was one of their last 14's on the lot.

Just giving a perspective from a lease stand point. I feel they were more willing to fudge the numbers on the lease vs a finance.

Hope you can find a deal on a remaining '14.

Not sure if this helps, but I got a 2014 Limited with Luxury II for 37,500, after $1000 Jeep rebate and a military discount, and before taxes, fees, etc). I told them I had a 2015 on order, but would be willing to switch dealers and buy that day if the deal was right. Mine was built in July 2014 and we bought it Aug 6th.

*Thanks to everyone on this forum that helped through the decision process and really got me excited to buy my first jeep. I look forward to becoming a supporter of this forum as soon as my wife stops monitoring the bank account!

Bought my 14 Overland Hemi with ATG In June in Long Island NY for 4% under invoice along with a few rebates they had available at the time which were a $1000 V8 engine rebate, another $750 rebate for just buying an Overland and then another $1000 on a Conquest rebate. I think off the top of my head it was $44,500 plus tax and reg
