Remote Start A/C Question

Exactly how is the remote start system supposed to operate? I have the comfort start checked off in the Uconnect system. I don't believe the A/C is operating, even when it's above 80°. I did notice that the drivers ventilated seat was activated. I just had the latest updates done last week. tia

Re: Remote Start A/C Question

from TSB 24-002-13:

Quote:
During Remote Start mode operation, the HVAC system will default to a
preselected value of 72°F (22°C) regardless of customer selection or ambient
temperature. When the driver’s door is opened, the system will immediately
revert back to the previously selected setting. This is a normal operating
characteristic.

So I guess if I had the HVAC system only set to manual outside ventilation through dash vents (no A/C selected), upon remote start, the A/C would be engaged, but as soon as I opened the drivers door, the system went back to the outside ventilation with no A/C?

If thats the case then the way it operated on my old 2012 Overland was much better. It had true HVAC controlled remote start. The way the 14's are, what's the advantage of remote start on a hot day?
