reset service

I recently had my 10,000km service on my 2014gc td, but when checking the life of oil indicator it hasn't been reset and as my dealer is a couple of hundred kms away its to far to take back just to reset, does anyone know how to reset this? I tried by the book pressing accelerator 3 times etc but didn't change, thanks, Growler

Re: reset service

The accelerator thing should work. Just be sure you are in run position (but engine off) and don't be too quick or slam the accelerator down. Fully depress it three times within 5 or 10 seconds.

I don't know of any other way to do it, but maybe somebody has come up with something.

Good luck!

Re: reset service

Reset Oil:
Turn the ignition on without starting the engine.
Press the accelerator and hold for at least 30 seconds.
Press and release the brake pedal 6 times.
Turn the ignition off and then on again.
If still warning oil change due then repeat.

That's not what I recently did at all.

It says 3 times on gas pedal within 10 seconds.

I saw it clear right on the 3rd tap of the pedal before I even had a chance to shut it off.

100% correct.
That was the export procedure, so relevant to the OP.

The reference to kilometers is what gave it away.
