That was a good video. Thanks. Now that I have the WK2 which replaced a fleet car, we are probably going to replace wife's Volvo XC-70 (still a POS) which was our main car with a vehicle for her to use for work and city driving. We are down to Subaru Forester and new Honda CR-V.

Some of the newer AWD systems are quite capable now (considering the absence of low gearing) because of advanced electronic controls and mechanical controls like Haldex multi-plate hydraulic clutches, for example.

True. One of the things that is not a POS on wife's Volvo XC-70 is the Haldex system. It has been trouble free and, unlike the JGC, there is no wheel spin at all when moving power from wheel to wheel. (The other is the seats.)
