Hello everyone,
Just back from another wonderfull trip with my GC and some other vehicles.
It was 3 days along river Iruya, lots of fun and as usual the Jeep was flawless.
The river at this time is quite thin but it carries a high volume of water, so if you spin your wheels there is a slight risk that the current can take you sideways.
Here are some first videos to share : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyQ3Y19VPm8
Either way, nice vids and pics. I would never do that to my newly lowered summit! I'm actually on the way to the car wash after I get out of work! Tire shine and all.
Thats correct, Argentina very close to the border with Bolivia.
To me part of the fun is to take my GC offroad and then take it to the detailing shop so it goes back to shiny as if it was brand new.
Keep in mind you have a Jeep, and Jeeps love to be offroad.:lol:...at least mine does.

Brilliant work Victor! Yeah, who needs a snorkel! The Jeep's air intake is between the bonnet and the grill which at first seems fairly vulnerable to splash water but if you look carefully at the plastic moulding, it is designed to very effectively channel splash water away. There is also the large plenum which would have to take quite a bit of water before the engine would choke.
Fantastic stuff. So in your group, everybody drives a Toyota but you? In general terms, what features of the Toyota would you like your Jeep to have and also, what features of the Jeep would be needed on the Toyota?
Basically there were Toyota Hilux, VW Amarok, Ford Ranger and Toyota SW4, by far the best is the Jeep, there is nothing in those trucks that I would like to have...and on the other side they are always surprised as how well the Jeep does even though its not the highest truck, keep in mind only mods i do for these trips is change wheels and tires and remove lower front fascia, the rest is 100% standard...and those guys use performance parts, etc...I can only imagine what the Jeep would do if I got some specialty equipment.
I forgot...I also added the protection in the bottom, I got all the original plates to protect underneath (gas tank, etc.).
Give me a few minutes and I'll upload some nice pics.

Thanks, tires are AT Khumo, 285,50,18 which I install along with 18 wheels for offroad trips.
For daily use in town i use the ones that came original which are 20 inch and nowadays I have Michelins.
Rgds.
Crossing rivers and heading up stream... man I hate that. I once did similar in my old XJ and had water up over the hood, to the base of the windshield... bubbling in around the shifter boot/transmission tunnel... to say I was a little panic'd is putting things lightly.
After that I avoided water like the plague... figured I got my "this one time" luck used up.
