Re: Saddle/Black Confusion/Dilemma

+1 on liking the regular overland saddle/black much better than the summit - then there is the small matter of the saddle color wearing out or off of the seats very rapidly - check the threads on here whining about it...

In order to convince my wife on the interior, I took her down to see one at the dealer.
they didn't have one in black, but instead the mineral grey colour.
sure enough it had the Saddle / Black interior.
I liked how the dark leather dash had the light colour stitching - really sets it off.

I haven't posted a pic here before, so here goes nothing...

So thats how the dash looked. Of course we're talking about an Overland here.
The Summit dash is different. I like the Overland better.

That's the interior I love, the lighter wood interior has a nice contrast, classy IMHO. The saddle dash is too much saddle, and I've had light colored dashboards before, and find the reflection/glare on the windshield annoying. Add in the dark wood and the whole effect is "over the top".

I haven't heard back from the leasing company on Friday as I hoped, looking forward to Monday.

Whine- to snivel or complain in a peevish, self-pitying way. I have to take exception to your "small matter". It is hardly whining. Maybe I am a little over-sensitive about the extreme wear on a brand new $45,000-$50,000 vehicle's PREMIUM leather seating, but as for me, when I first described my problem, it was to see if others were experiencing the same problem (which they are). I LOVE the color combination (would get it again) and when I go to sell my Jeep, I will get it redyed. Used car dealers will do it to spiff up an aging interior. I'm sorry about my rant. I love my Jeep, just not my poorly dyed leather.

Re: Saddle/Black Confusion/Dilemma

I factory ordered my 2012 Overland two weeks ago. Brilliant Black with Black/Saddle Interior... no problems, order is in the system, just waiting now!

Re: Saddle/Black Confusion/Dilemma

I was able to get the combination I wanted. Mineral Gray Overland, 5.7 engine, Saddle black interior. It was operator error. Now I begin the agonizing wait for the delivery.

I don't blame you. If my leather wears prematurely, I'll "whine" too.
If this was happening after 5 years, or 200,000 kilometers, well, I'd say that was to be expected but not after a year or less.

Sorry about the Whine comment - I forgot to put it in sarcasm quotes....

I actually was pointing to a show stopper as far as I was concerned...

That's the color combo I have and I love it! You're gonna go nuts waiting but it'll be worth it
