:cool:Scott,
First off real mature calling me a loser:slapfight:, closing my thread on the WK board and blocking me from posting on my thread on the WK2 board. Here is some info on sales figures since again you are a Jeep amatuer who likes to run his mouth but can't back it up. This is off wikipedia and as you can see the WK easily sold more in it's introduction than the WK2. Even in 2006 it sold significantly more than 2012 models have (jeep sold less in 2012 than they did in 2011). Again the WK never came close to putting Jeep or Chrysler out of business. What happened during those years in 2008-2009 had to do with a failing economy and affected every manufacturer. What a Dipsh#t with a capital D!!!! Scott you are clueless when it comes to Jeeps and you are part of the problem that has ruined this board. Have a nice day bud! Way to censor everyone who isn't as delusional as you and knows Jeeps better than you do.

Why would you complain about being blocked. Overwhelming the consensus here is that we don't care what you think.

More importantly, you said early on that you were leaving, that you found a better forum, blah, blah, blah.

At least be a man of your word, and leave. Don't let the door .......

The thing to keep in mind with the sales numbers is the economic climate and the levelof competition.

From 99-04, there was little competition. You had the Explorer which wasn't really a hugely luxurious vehicle, you had the Blazer which sucked, and a handful of other vehicles (4Runner, Pathfinder, etc). Factor in the economic climate being much better, and gas being cheaper with no crossovers, and its easy to understand why they would have sold better then.

05-07 you had a big economic boom, but you were starting to see more competition out there. You started to see crossovers taking hold and selling in larger numbers. But you also saw a lot of contractor types making a lot of money in the housing industry that demanded rugged V8 4x4s, so it still sold well.

The most accurate comparison is the 09-10 models, they were recently updated, the economic climate was similar to now, and the competition was only a little less.

I think it's impressive to say that the WK2, despite intense pressure from competitors and a pretty decent price increase, has sold more than any GC since the economic collapse. Heck, it's nearly at pre-collapse levels, that's a feat not replicated by very many vehicles. And this is despite it having pretty low fuel economy compared to most crossovers, and a stigma from the bailouts. Not bad at all IMO.

Ole TurdFlair went to the dealer the other day. He drove a WK2, had to have it. Was offered $7,000 for his hunk of poo WK and was not able to get $15K off sticker like the days when they were giving away unsellable WKs. He came home, pouted and attempted to delude himself into thinking his Old N Busted junk was the best thing out there! His attempt was met with ridicule. He became enraged and obsessed the the New Hotness. The end. :)

So Scott is part of the problem that has ruined this board...his board that he founded and owns...a board that wouldn't exist without him?

Makes a lot of sense

It sounds to me like your trying to convince yourself that you like the WK better and you don't really want a WK2. These sales figures mean nothing. How the overall market is performing in those years will have a big impact on sales. I had a 2006 GC Limited with the Hemi that I leased for 370 a month in 06 because of the good rebates and cheap leases they had at that time. The 2011 made those numbers without a bunch of rebates or cheap leases. I really don't understand what your point is or what your trying to prove. Did the dealer turn you down on credit for a WK2 or something??

A tip for you Ric, trash talk works better when you adhere to the rules of grammar.

Since you're a Wikipedia pro, go look up the word "paragraph".

I fancy myself a decent trash talker so I want to help you out with your little venture here. First, you're letting emotion come through in your postings.

Mistake.

Calm down before you post. If you're sobbing you're eyes out while you're typing that's gonna bleed through, thus making you look like a bitch. So, chill on that.

Next, break you're hour long posts up into sections. It's just poor grammar to type 12 thousand sentences and not separate it into paragraphs. If we have to endure you're BS at least make it easy to read. Thanks in advance....

Lastly, do a bit more research before you post. You've made a few comments on here that ruined your credibility. Now we can't take you seriously.

Long story short, you're an amateur. Keep memorizing those Wikipedia pages and you'll be on your way.

Oh, and stop calling people bud. It makes you sound like a jerk off. That goes for real life and Internet.

That is all for now.

Hey Slick Ric Nature Boy,

While you are entitled to your opinions about WK's & X-5's...

You just come off as a cocky know-it-all with attitude trying to 'stir things up' here in the forum, not to mention your inability to use paragraphs!

And, by calling Scott a "Dip...." and "clueless when it comes to Jeeps", you show true immaturity.

You're acting like a WWF/E entertainer or clown which may work in the ring, but does not apply here in the garage!

So give that some thought... Wooooooo!
