There is no point to buy a Limited.
A limited with luxury group and NAV costs $43,340 MSRP
An Overland, which already has that stuff costs $43,396 MSRP
plus the Overland has special overland features in it and 20 inch rims which the limited would not have. Seriously correct me if im wrong but what insane person would buy a limited?
Keep in mind that all modern vehicles need to have NAV so don't say you'd get a limited without NAV (or the 5.7 which is also mandatory for the weight of the vehicle).
Overland or GTFO
I can see somebody getting the Limited and not tacking on anything to it. Not all modern vehicles do need built in nav; standalone units do it just as well and cheaper, so somebody who is already hitting the roof on what they'd like to spend may not be interested in popping for the Luxury package or nav system.
As for your comment re: the V8, gimme a break. Go drive them both. Overwhelming opinion by both private citizens and automotive journalists who have done so think the V6 is plenty sufficient.
But yes, if you start optioning the Limited at all, the Overland becomes a better deal. We were looking at the Limited with luxury package, and decided to order an Overland (with the V-6, mind you); the upgraded interior alone (real wood, leather dash) was worth the extra. The 20" rims are so-so; sharper handling but more expensive tires and reduced resistance to damage. The nav wasn't a deal maker (I have a standalone unit that doesn't have the lawyer induced limitations of a built in model). Still, they come along for the deal.
