Nah, but I sat in a Red Overland in December that tempted me sorely... Fortunately the 430N not working for beans with my iPhone kept me from being too pliable and the dealer wouldn't come down to my price.

At the time I didn't think I wanted the ACC stuff - now after reading this forum, I'm really glad I went for that (as part of getting the Summit.)

Re: Sat in a Summit...love it!!!

Hey there Dan, very nice I love these pics. Like someone else said, it is nice to be able to see pictures of a Summit that aren't truck show pics.

I needs something to distract me and get my mind off getting mine ARGH Time can't go fast enough LOL.

Don't do it, don't take this Summit... you want the 4x4 and this is a 4x2... you don't want to regret it after the purchase that you didn't get the one you really wanted.

Re: Sat in a Summit...love it!!!

Thanks Dan. I was trying to see one that landed at my dealer today (but couldn't leave work). I hope it is there tomorrow. btw, wait for your order. You waited this long, another month or so won't hurt. Plus, you don't want that crappy radio!

Buying houses is so much worse...buying a car is like at most a couple of hours, some of the houses I have bought have taken over 3 months to close, and plenty of others I've worked offers on for more than a month only to loose it to some idiot paying to much at the last minute.

I know people will post the usual responses like in some areas you don't need it.... but honestly... who pays $45-50k on an SUV without four wheel drive? It boggles my mind. It's like buying a minivan without a back seat.

Re: Sat in a Summit...love it!!!

I sat in a Black Summit in a Jeep showroom during lunchtime today. OMG! It is amazing & pictures do not do it justice. The saddle top looks great. The stitching is nothing like some pics we saw online. The only negative were the polished wheels. I like the ones on the Overland better. I plan to go back tonight to take a closer look and possibly a couple pictures with my iPhone.

Looks great, eh..... I found that I liked it much better in person and the Saddle looks great with the full upper Saddle. I think I like the first polished wheels just a tad more versus the newer bright polished wheels if I had my choice but either is fine with me. Since the lower interior is black, I think the full upper Saddle is the best....when I first saw the Saddle in the Overland I wasn't sure but then when I saw it more I really started to like it (was so used to dark grey interiors). Then add the black wood trim and it just comes together well. Post some photos! :-)

Re: Sat in a Summit...love it!!!

Dilemma ... A dealer just contacted me and they JUST got in a Black Summit 4x4 V8 but with the 430N (of course). It is about 3 hours or so away (no trade in). What would I say to the dealer I ordered one through??? It is still in D status....not built yet. It is a big dealership that I ordered from (two locations) and could easily sell the one I ordered. I thought sold orders would get filled before non-sold dealer stock orders so I am kinda bummed about ordering one now.

Anyone with experience with this situation???
