If you are referring to the post before yours, it's not a 14.

On the Summit and (I think) the '14 SRT, they are headlight washers. On the Limited w/Lux II and Overland they are fillers. They don't even give the customer the choice to buy washers on those models.

The standard lights on the Laredo and Limited fit, and look much better.

I can almost forgive this type of screw up on a new model. But on a refresh, things are supposed to be improved.

There are a couple of other things where IMHO Jeep dropped the ball, but overall I like the total package enough to buy one.

Re: Saw 1st 2014 Today ... NOT Impressed!

The reason the filler piece is there probably is so they did not have to design two grill units, one with cutouts for washers, one without. They were going to have to design two headlamp assemblies anyway. I agree that the non HID/LED lamp housings look better.

Exactly! I will accept nicer filler with body matching color. But black cheap plastic on ALL body color options is a joke. Even $20K KIA will not offer it to their costumers.....

In North America for 2014, the headlamp washers are ONLY available on the Summit and SRT.

These headlamp washers aren't Standard, but they do a much better job:

Dang! I missed that option when I ordered. Is it too late to change my order?

on paper, it's the same alpine system as previous years. But some members here have said the '14 sound system sounds better than the previous year's...could be the new head unit sending out a better signal

On the fence of buying my first Jeep GC - currently driving my Nissan Maxima and wife's Subaru Outback. That said, I mildly test drove the '14 Limited today for the first time and must say I'm impressed. Heart was set on the physical look of the 11-13s and initially hates the look of the 14. But once inside the cabin, looks mean nothing. I am weary of the reliability of the electronic display on dash as well as the electric shifter-can anyone comment on these? Otherwise, the only thing I really don't like is how there is no longer a flipper glass.
