I don't overly obsess over domestic crossover vehicles. Sounds like you need some more attention. If a vehicle is your cure for that....well, you bought a Grand Cherokee.....like every other vehicle on the road.

People with your attitude are always the carpoor.

Don't overly obsess over domestic CUV's? Nonsense.

You're a member of a Jeep message board so surely you'd know the other models besides the GC. Hell, I don't drive a sonata but I could point one out the same way I could point out a Malibu and a chevelle or a Compass and a GC. It's just kind of what us men do.

My high post count and daily post count average really screams "NEEDS ATTENTION"..... JK, it actually doesn't.

"Carpoor". Yea I don't get that one. I've got your 2012 Laredo X AND now the '14 GC LTD among many other makes and models, old and new. Could share the garage toys with you but you probably wouldn't admire any of them and simply mistake them all.

When I first read your thread subject title it screamed to me "guy with a '11-'13 feeling bad about not having the new toy". I opened the thread and saw I was right, no surprise.

You can talk all the trash you want about the exterior trying to justify the feeling of having one pulled over on you by Jeep with the new redesign but we ALL know the '14 are SUPERIOR and you're jealousssssss.

You had a '12 and traded it for a '14. You sir are a person who had one pulled over on you by Jeep. Sorry, but the '14 grill is NOT a visual upgrade over the '11 - '13. It's just not. And that gold interior trim.....Ugh! Basically the 8-speed tranny and interior electronics are the only reasons I would even consider throwing money away by trading mine in on a '14....and I'm not considering it. Those two reasons are just not worth it to me. But hey, you sound like a "keep up with the Jones' type" and it's your money, spend it as you wish.

Re: Saw 1st 2014 Today ... NOT Impressed!

I don't know why people are getting worked up and attacking each other on here. The looks are subjective, but overall the 2014 is a better vehicle, the next refresh/redesign will be better yet and so on. That is the nature of progress, get over it people.

Re: Saw 1st 2014 Today ... NOT Impressed!

While I was and still am not in love with the smiley grill and rounded rear lenses, I was pleasantly surprised once finally seeing a 14 in person yesterday. The only aesthetic change I had a strong reaction to are the tails' new chrome surrounds on the reverse lenses, but that is just me.

Neither do I feel it is a totally different vehicle to the positive extreme, but I will say the dash instrumentation, 8.4" screen, and potentially 8 speed tranny (did not drive) are significant upgrades.

Well done Jeep, gotta give 'em props on both gen WK2's.

Re: Saw 1st 2014 Today ... NOT Impressed!

God forbid someone not like the 2014 gasp! Must be jealous, butthurt, or whatever. Lol the immaturity associated with comments like that is mind boggling. Obviously most, if not all, of us are old enough to drive and afford to buy a car, yet some of you guys are acting like elementary school kids, lol.

What about me? I personally am not a huge fan of the styling of the 2014s. I'm hoping it will grow on me because I'm currently without a car after my WK got totalled. I plan on buying a Jeep outright or at the least putting down 30k for a downpayment if it's a 2014. Summit or Overland. I just can't get into the styling of the 2014 at all.

To each their own i guess, right?

Dude, you didn't find his post arrogant???

And contrary to your belief, I do see other points of view. I'm happily married. There's a reason a for that. I just don't agree with that guy's attitude that anyone who doesn't like the '14 and it's changes is jealous because they don't have one. That's just ridiculous.

And I see you ordered a Hemi. You obviously know how I feel about that. Good choice!

I agree with you on the taillights which is why I want to see if I can swap in the SRT headlights and taillights.

I seem to recall you discussing the Hemi a while back. I didn't dare order a V6

While I disagree with jkr and his mouthing off that anyone who doesn't have a '14 is jealous, etc, etc, etc, I also traded in my '12 Laredo E for a '14 Ltd. The exterior differences don't bother me in the least, visual looks are subjective. The powertrain differences were worth the money in spades to me though. The V6 is much more spirited with the 8 speed and having the extra 1200lbs in towing capacity helps. The interior upgrades were nice too...the MyGig system of the '11-'13, while more convenient than the 130, is archaic compared to the 8.4" Uconnect...even the base 5" Uconnect that comes standard is better. A hard drive would have been nice, but I can add a 32gb SD card for 25 bucks and get the same thing. I'm also a fan of the screen in the gauge cluster.

I wouldn't be surprised if a number of '11 and '12 WK2s get traded in for a '14 or higher.
