School Me - ECM & "Main Brain"

Where is the "main brain" located? I know where the ECM module is in the engine compartment. My insurance company told me today that the main brain for the Jeep was heavily damaged during my deer collision.

Just thought I would take the opportunity to learn where it was! Thanks.

Lol - pretty funny.

Actually I'm trying to find an engine compartment schematic so I can help figure out what else may be damaged after taking a direct strike into the engine compartment from a large buck. Insurance person told me this afternoon that the "main brain" control module was heavily damaged, but not sure where it's located. I do know where the ECM module is.

Re: School Me - ECM & "Main Brain"

If the "brain" was damaged, I would also be concerned about the condition of the TIPM (relay/fuse center).

Thanks! That image is most helpful. I am pretty sure lots of things were damaged by the huge impact.
