To OP, just go to the dealership and get the Mopar OEM touch-up paint for an exact match which costs less than $15. If you are not picky it will blend in nicely and will not be an eyesore or very noticeable.
I would recommend filling with dealer touch up paint to almost level, then if you have the money, let that dry and apply Dr. Colorchip as the final touch up.
Having good luck with linear scratches using both... Colorchip doesn't seem to "fill" as well as regular old TUP.
It all depends on how upset you are with your wife over this. If there is peace in the house, touch up will work. If it is causing friction, get it properly painted, bite the bullet, pay the bill and be done with it.
Otherwise every time you look at it your blood pressure will go up a little.
