Re: Seat Belt Chime

Still a no go for me. I always wear my belt, so not a big deal.

Re: Seat Belt Chime

Worked fine for me on the first try last summer (MY2012).
Like the original poster mentioned, I wear my seat belt, but there are times when you leave the engine running and need to jump out (or the passenger) and the chime is total BS/annoying.

NOTE: The system still chimes when you first start the Jeep, but won't chime if you unbuckle after that initial chime. It does not eliminate the initial 'start-up' chime.

The beep is from the key not being detected while running. Leave it in the Jeep and it should stop that beep for your passengers.

Or were u referring to just the single chime when you unbuckle?

If you unbuckle, it chimes, but then after a minute or so it starts chiming more.... My wife's Toyota RAV does the same thing. Very annoying. Love that I can turn it off in the Jeep.

RE: Key not detected... Yeah, my wife almost killed me the first time I came back and forgot to leave the key fob. Drove her nuts. Ended up shutting down the vehicle so it would stop.
