Seat Belt Chime

How do you disable the seat belt chime? Before I get a butt chewing about not wearing it, I do in fact wear my seat belt when required. It's the most annoying thing ever when I'm at the boat ramp and it keeps dinging at me to put my seat belt on. There's several other instances where a seat belt is not required and the dinging gets annoying.

I know in all of my past and present Ram trucks you turn the ignition on, plug and unplug the seat belt three times, then turn the ignition off and the the chime is gone. It still shows up on the dash that the seat belt is unhooked, but that's fine with me. I just need to get rid of the dinging!

ebay has some things that plug into the female seatbelt connector and they double as a bottle opener.

Thanks guys, That's the same process as my Ram but it didn't work the first time I tried it. I'll give it another shot this evening.

I tried it last night, and again today, no dice.

Still a no go for me. I always wear my belt, so not a big deal.

Worked fine for me on the first try last summer (MY2012).
Like the original poster mentioned, I wear my seat belt, but there are times when you leave the engine running and need to jump out (or the passenger) and the chime is total BS/annoying.

NOTE: The system still chimes when you first start the Jeep, but won't chime if you unbuckle after that initial chime. It does not eliminate the initial 'start-up' chime.
